Messy Church at St James'

Messy Church is a way of being church for families and others. It is Christ-centred, for all ages, based on creativity, hospitality and celebration. It is a warm and friendly space where we explore stories of faith together through crafts and hands-on activities, followed by a short time of worship and a shared meal.

Who is it for?
When and where?
What happens?

Messy Church is for everyone! It's especially popular with families, from toddlers to grandparents, who enjoy learning in a creative way.

We meet at Alderholt Village Hall, on the 2nd Sunday of each month. We start with a cooked breakfast at 10am, with activities commencing at 10:30am.

There are games and various activities planned around a theme. It concludes with a short time of singing and prayers to finish off at 11:30am.

Whether you've been to church before or this is your very first time, we would love to welcome you. Our sessions are relaxed, fun, and completely free of pressure. Just come as you are and dive into the mess!
